A few things to do this weekend....

This really doesn't have much to do with couponing besides that both events are free, yiippee. Here are 2 things to do this Saturday almost anywhere there is a Meijer and ToysRUs.

Meijer Earth Day Event

Meijer is featuring an Earth Day Event on Saturday, April 25th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This event will feature a free eco-friendly book, free giveaways, and kids' activities. There will also be eco-stations open for free sampling. You can check with your local Meijer store here to make sure they are participating.

Toys R Us Thomas Train Event
Toys R Us Stores across the country are having a Thomas the Train Event on 4/25 from 11am to 1pm. Storytime, coloring fun, Thomas trivia, and a FREE giveaway. Your child will also be able to color their own engineer hat.

There is also an event at Lowes, but you must register and it may be too late. But, it looks like fun! Your child can build a Hang Glider at Lowe’s Build & Growe clinic on April 25th from 10am - 11am.

They were rude and unfriendly about refunding me the money, when it was actually their fault for not giving me the double coupons in the first place. Organizing Coupons

I'll be the first to admit that couponing does take quite a bit of time. However, if you're organized it's a lot easier to stay on top of the deals and of course where all your coupons are! Free Redbox Code

I love Redbox because it's so convenient and cheap. It usually costs $1 to rent a DVD a night and must be returned by 9pm the next night or you will get charged another dollar. Also, you can rent at one location and return it at ANY Redbox location. Once we rented one in Chicago and returned it in Champaign. But, an added bonus is that on Mondays and Wednesdays there are usually codes to rent one for FREE! Yiippee. If you live in the C-U area, there are Redboxes at Meijer and County Market. If you live in the Chicago area they have them everywhere!

Easter Stuff Super Cheap!

All Easter stuff is 75% off right now at Walgreens and Target, not sure about CVS. It's great to use as a filler item at Walgreens if you need to have one more item to use your coupons and register rewards (b/c you can only have as many coupons and RR as items). My son loves stickers, so got a bunch of Easter stickers for next year for 17 cents a pack.

This is a really fun site where you have to find hidden coupons. There are some really high value coupons for $5 off any purchase or $75 off a $100 purchase. Or basic ones like 20% off your purchase. I just got a save $2 on any white item. It's a fun way to save money!

*For instance, I used 2 of the $1/1 ReNu BL Multipurpose Solution on travel sizes at Target and paid 50 cents for each. Make sure to always buy the smallest size of an item if the coupon say ANY SIZE! That way you'll get the item either for super cheap or FREE.
*There is also a $2/1 Dry Idea Deodorant and right now it's on sale at Target for $2. So, if you need deodorant go and grab that one for FREE.

Save Paper when printing online coups

Here's a tip: we use paper that we are going to recycle that has one side blank to print our online coupons. Just make sure that you feed it in the right way when you're about to print. I have put it in the wrong way and burned those coups, not good!

All Cooped Up!

Hello there, I recently got into blogging and couponing, so I decided to pair them together. I was a teacher for 6 years and then decided to stay home with my children this past year. It has been a challenging transition becoming a stay at home mom and moving to a small town from a large metropolitan area. Why, you ask? Mainly because I felt and at times still feel like I have no outlet and opportunity to do something meaningful. I know that being the caretaker of my children and nurturing each and every one of their needs should be the most rewarding and fufilling thing in my life, but at times it's very easy to forget that when I am wiping poop and calming down 2 year old tantrums. I woudn't trade it for anything else in the world, but I also feel like I need a lifeline. And that is what SUPER-couponing and blogging have become for me. To top it all off my husband is the only income as a pastor, so, I had to find avenues to save money and cut out access pleasures we couldn't afford. I also feel that I need to be a better steward of our money because it all belongs to God anyway. At times, I do feel like a chicken all cooped up, but I have my vice of super-couponing and how could I not share it with all of you moms and anyone else who would like to save a few dollars, or even a lot more than that, out there.
